About EKFC Procurement

EKFC Procurement
The Procurement team plays a vital role within EKFC, but it can only be as good as its network of suppliers. Whether we are buying food or non-food products and services, EKFC is passionate about working with great suppliers and building strong working relationships.

As the size and scale of our business has grown we have sought to work with innovative suppliers who can support our aims and objectives. In return we seek to offer our suppliers long term, stable and sustainable relationships.

Our procurement process is based on competitive tendering and on the principles of transparency. We will not compromise on quality and will only source from suppliers that meet or who have given a commitment to achieve our standards within an agreed timescale.

Tenders are published online via our eSourcing portal which provides an effective and efficient way of registering your company and participating in tenders with us.

If you are a supplier that shares our passion for quality and are interested in a mutually beneficial partnership, then we encourage you to register your company with us. Information on how to register with us can be found on our Prospective Suppliers page.

Halal Compliance
Where food products are required to be Halal we direct our suppliers to the ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology) site which lists the approved accredited auditors for Halal standards.

For suppliers that are required to provide us with Halal products, EKFC recommends that Halal accreditation is done through ESMA approved auditors.

Our commitment to supporting the SME growth in the UAE
As a major UAE Corporation, the support of locally owned small and medium-sized enterprises is important to our success as a company and represents a clear statement of respect for the resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit of Emirati business men and women.

EKFC is firmly committed to supporting the local economy and plays a proactive role in supporting and developing the local SME sector. In January 2018, Dubai SME recognised the efforts and success that Emirates Flight Catering has had in supporting small local businesses by awarding EKFC the ‘Most Supportive Private Sector Organisation’ in the UAE.
